Lockdown made me run, and I keep running!

Virtual Running Club

The virtual running club started during the pandemic as an response to help colleagues boost their wellbeing during this difficult time. The running club is still active and welcoming all colleagues who want to join.

The running club is a great opportunity to keep you active, boosting both your mental and physical wellbeing while completing engaging challenges with colleagues.

Book Club and Minibook Club

Losing yourself in a good book has been shown to reduce your levels of stress. Several researches have found that reading as little as six minutes a day can reduce stress levels by 60% by reducing your heart rate, easing muscle tension and altering your state of mind.

Keep an eye on HR Line to find the selected book and minibook of the month and how to request one. Email staffwellbeing@lincoln.ac.uk to learn more.

Social Sports

Social Football Tuesday at 5pm – Social Netball Wednesday at 5pm

Join colleagues from across the University to play these social sports. With a “turn up and play” attitude there is no requirement for weekly commitment. It’s free to join and all colleagues are welcome.
